Also, as we're in the thick of summer right now and out of school, the staff is not currently at work. Thus, if you send any queries, comments, or submissions to us through email or postal mail at this time, please keep in mind that we might not respond immediately. Thanks so much for your patience and cooperation!

Have a great summer,

6/2/07 North Central Review Update

Well, the NCC school year is coming to a close, and so the NC Review production slows down for the summer. Gina and I learned a lot as first-year editors, and now we are preparing to enter the next school year with Christie Fearnley joining us as our third co-editor. We've also just sent out the Spring 2007 journal to all of our contributors. Thanks to everyone -- Dr. Leahy, editors, staff, and contributors -- for creating such a great issue and making the year so great!

We plan on updating the site a bit in the coming months, but until then, please visit the "Submission" page for basic submission information. Our next deadline is October 15, 2007.

Thank you again to everyone for such a fantastic year! Happy summer!

-Rachel Hamsmith

11/29/06 NC Review Update

Welcome to The North Central Review website! The Review just finished up Fall Term of North Central College's 2006-07 school year, and all submitters with accepted work have been contacted. In January, the staff will begin to lay out the journal and decide on the look of the cover, and the Fall 2006 issue should be published sometime in February. Gina and I have been lucky enough to have a great staff so far this year who have all put a lot of hard work into the journal. Thank you!

In regards to the website, we are still in the process of making updates, but please continue checking the site in case there is any news. If you are looking to send the NC Review your work for publication, please see the "Submit" page. Our deadline for the Spring 2007 issue is February 15.

Thanks again to our amazing staff and contributors!

-Rachel Hamsmith, co-editor

From the "office" of the North Central Review

There are so many exciting things going on right now at the office of the North Central Review! We just finished our new issue for Spring 2006 and the journal couldn't look better. Feel free to check out the poetry and prose sections to see some great writing from this issue.

Aside from the new issue, we just unveiled our newest venture, the North Central Review website! There will be more updates in the weeks to come, but in the meantime please explore the site and remember to check back often!

On a more somber note, Katherine Fearnley and I are moving on to bigger (but certainly not better) things as we are about to take the long walk across the graduation plank. We would like to thank our advisor Dr.Anna Leahy, and all staff members past and present for their hard work and diligence. We would also like to give a an extra large thanks to Rachel Hamsmith and Gina DeIorio, who will be leading the journal into the future, we know that they will continue to produce a great journal.

Thanks,

Mark Jaynes
